This quote by Dr. Suess tells us that unless someone puts the effort into what they are passionate for, they will not be able to accomplish their dreams. This quote comes from the book The Lorax, published in 1971 about Lake Erie.
This is one of my favorite quotes. I believe this quote tells us that in life we cannot avoid challenges. Instead we should to face them.
I found this quote when looking up inspirational quotes on the internet, but it was the quote I remembered after reading others. I absolutely love how simple and easy to understand this quote is. This shows that even a few words can be very powerful. In my opinion, this quote tells us not to give up because the more me practice, the closer we will get to our destination.
This quote by Eleanor Roosevelt can be traced back to 1935 when the Secretary of Labor in the Roosevelt Administration was asked if she could give a speech at the University of California, Berkeley on Charter Day. However, the host of the event was unsatisfied because she did not want the speaker to be a political figure, so she refused to be the host. Later Eleanor Roosevelt was asked at a White House press conference if the secretary felt insulted and she replied “A snub” defined the first lady, “is the effort of a person who feels superior to make someone else feel inferior. To do so, he has to find someone who can be made to feel inferior.” I really like this quote because Roosevelt tells us that no one can make us feel bad about ourselves unless we let them to because we ultimately make our own decision. Therefore, whenever we fall, we are the only ones that can help ourselves stand back up.
